help alliance Project shines at G20 Social Summit
The help alliance project “Youth Center, Sao Lourenço da Mata”, made a significant impact at the G20 Social Summit, held under Brazil’s presidency in Rio de Janeiro. Highlighting grassroots innovation, the local project partner Instituto Juventude Criativa was invited by President Lula’s office to contribute to global discussions.
The IJC delegation participated in Youth 20 Discussion Groups, focusing on Fighting Hunger, Energy Transition, and ensuring Youth-led Decision-making within the G20. Their work culminated in a Communiqué, outlining priorities to influence G20 policies and shape the global agenda.
IJC-representatives Anderson Coutinho and Juliana Paraíso brought perspectives from Brazil’s favelas and communities, ensuring these voices shaped global conversations on poverty, social justice, and sustainability.
Under Brazil’s leadership, the G20 Social Summit placed social justice at its core, amplifying efforts to create an equitable and inclusive future.
