help alliance gets wings with Edelweiss
5 years of cooperation between help alliance and Edelweiss are celebrated with its very own livery
The time has finally come: Edelweiss made it possible for the first help alliance livery to take off and “the good cause” to be literally carried out into the world.
The cooperation between Edelweiss and help alliance goes back to 2017. These five exciting years were characterized by a trusting cooperation and are now crowned with the new “edelweiss-help alliance Livery”.
The latest addition to the Edelweiss fleet has an unusual design. The familiar red nose and background on the tail fin have been replaced with a myriad of red hands. They symbolize the helping hands of the Lufthansa Group aid organization help alliance and Edelweiss. Both organizations have maintained a close partnership for five years: “We support social projects at Edelweiss holiday destinations together and finance them with the rest of the money collected from our guests on board. Through our joint commitment, we have been able to give many people in Costa Rica, Vietnam, South Africa and Sri Lanka a better life with various projects in recent years.» says Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss.
The Edelweiss Airbus A320 HB-JLT is the first aircraft of a Lufthansa Group airline to fly in a dedicated design in connection with the help alliance. “The aircraft is intended to draw attention to our global social commitment and help make our non-profit organization better known. The future of young people living in poverty is our most important destination.» says Andrea Pernkopf, Managing Director of the help alliance.
From now on, the aircraft will be flying to all holiday destinations on Edelweiss’s short and medium-haul routes.
Soon there will be different fundraising campaigns related to the plane. You can find all the information you need here or on the help alliance social media channels.
