From migration to integration

Assistance to refugees in three thematic areas

The help alliance has been dealing with the topic of migration and integration since the beginning of 2015, but in the current situation the challenges are growing massively. No matter whether donations of money, time or goods, refugee aid must be well organised.

Our focus is on three thematic areas.

Firstly, sustainable projects in the field of integration of young migrants. We do not distinguish between people who have just arrived in Germany or those who have been living here for a longer period of time. It is simply important that children and young people are given a chance to receive education, because this is the only way to achieve successful integration.

On the other hand, we provide needs-based assistance to the arriving refugees. We have already been able to distribute a number of donations in kind, which had been discussed in advance with the recipient organizations. We are currently examining concrete measures in Munich and Flörsheim to help arriving migrants overcome language barriers.

In addition to the important measures mentioned above, we will continue to focus on our projects in the migrants’ countries of origin, which we have been supporting for over 15 years. In this field, too, the demands will continue to increase.
