Every Euro donated finances the projects

The donations from the Lufthansa Group enable us to cover the costs of administration, public relations and fundraising. For this reason, we can guarantee that every cent or euro you donate goes directly into financing our project work.

The two largest sources of income at help alliance are donations from companies and from foundations & associations. But donations from private individuals and through special campaigns as well as donations through our On Board Collection and donation pillars also make an important contribution. The support of our employees through campaigns and payroll giving is also particularly noteworthy.

Within the 2020 expenses for help alliance, 84% went towards project support and project monitoring, 7% went to administrative costs, e.g. proportionate personnel costs for help alliance staff and the operation of our accounting software, and 9% towards fundraising and public relations. The share of administration costs, fundraising and public relations thus, amounts to a total of 16%.

Thanks to the annual donation of the Lufthansa Group, the project area is financed exclusively by donations from private individuals, foundations, and grants from private institutions and cooperation partners.

The project funding of € 2,540,248 for the Corona crisis 2020 is a very good result: In terms of funding amounts, our regional focus was on Africa, Asia and Europe. However, we also supported global projects as well as projects in Latin America and the Middle East in 2020.
