The support from the Lufthansa Group makes it possible to cover the costs of administration, public relations and fundraising. This ensures that every cent or euro you donate goes directly into financing the work of our projects.
In addition, each project is coordinated by an employee of the Lufthansa Group: these colleagues are volunteers and act as an interface between help alliance and the local partner organizations. The local partners have many years of experience in development cooperation and know about the needs of the people. The success of our projects is based on regular visits to the projects and a cooperation on equal terms. This creates transparency and trust. Furthermore, we regularly publish detailed information on how donations are allocated in the annual report.
Comprehensive program supports compliance in the work of help alliance
Compliance describes all measures that ensure the lawful conduct of companies and organizations, their management bodies and their employees with regard to legal and internal company regulations and prohibitions. As an internationally active organization, help alliance aims to protect its employees, volunteers and project partners as well as the organization itself from violations of the law and to support them in applying the law correctly.
The Lufthansa Group Compliance Program is intended to protect employees and the company from violations of the law and to support them in applying the law correctly.
help alliance is integrated into the Lufthansa Group Compliance Program as a Lufthansa Group organization.
The Corporate Compliance Office further develops the compliance program conceptually and conducts training courses (eLearning and classroom training). A whistleblower system provides the opportunity to report suspicions of white-collar crime and breaches of compliance regulations.
All projects and project partners of help alliance are reviewed by the Corporate Compliance Office to ensure lawful and compliant behavior and adherence to ethical standards and are contractually obliged to comply. All help alliance employees regularly take part in compliance training. In addition, the fundraising process is subject to compliance requirements that are regularly reviewed.
